The House of Artz: Where Flowers Have More Drama Than Your Wedding Guests

Some florists create bouquets. Others craft entire worlds. Pascal and Michelle, the dynamic duo behind The House of Artz, fall into the latter category. Their floral designs are not just arrangements; they are immersive experiences, bold statements that transform weddings into breathtaking works of art.

But how did House of Artz come to life? What drives these two floral artists to push the boundaries of wedding design? And why are they the go-to florists for some of the most extravagant weddings across Europe? Let’s dive into their journey.

The Roots of a Floral Visionary

Pascal’s story doesn’t start with flowers. Initially, he considered becoming a landscaper, but quickly realized that shoveling soil all day wasn’t his destiny. “I thought, if I have to spend my life weeding, that’s not going to work,” he recalls with a laugh. But when he stumbled upon floral design, something clicked.

He pursued formal training in floral arts, working his way through vocational schools and freelancing for different florists. By the time he was in his late teens, he had already built an impressive portfolio, working with over 72 different flower shops as a freelancer. But something was missing: complete creative freedom.

“At a certain point, I realized school wasn’t teaching me anything new, and working for others meant following their vision, not mine,” he explains. So, he took a leap and founded Pascal Art, his first independent floral business.

From Pascal Art to House of Artz

As his business grew, Pascal’s ambition did too. But one florist can only do so much alone. Enter Michelle, his creative and business-savvy counterpart. Together, they decided to take Pascal Art to the next level, rebranding as House of Artz—a name that reflected their joint vision, team-based approach, and the grandeur of their floral artistry.

“We knew we wanted to grow beyond just one person’s name,” Pascal explains. “House of Artz was about creating something bigger than ourselves—something that could evolve, expand, and maybe even outlive us.”

Now, five years into House of Artz, their designs are gracing weddings and luxury events across Europe. Their ability to blend classic floral techniques with avant-garde design concepts has made them one of the most sought-after floral designers in the industry.

The Art of Floral Storytelling

So, what makes House of Artz so special? In a word: vision.

“We don’t just put flowers on tables. We create environments, we tell stories,” Pascal says. Their floral designs aren’t just centerpieces; they are part of the wedding’s narrative, mood, and magic.

Take, for example, one of their most memorable projects: a luxurious wedding in Italy. The couple had a €30,000 floral budget, which meant Pascal and Michelle had the freedom to dream big. From massive floral chandeliers to a lush, color-coordinated garden that seemed to grow naturally out of the venue, every detail was meticulously curated. The result? A wedding that felt like stepping into a Renaissance painting.

But budget doesn’t dictate beauty. “It’s not about how much you spend—it’s about the experience you create,” Pascal insists. Even smaller weddings receive the House of Artz magic, with custom styling plans, innovative compositions, and a focus on personalized details.

Designing for the Dreamers

House of Artz is known for its bold, opulent, and eclectic aesthetic. Pascal describes their style as lush, maximalist, and striking—a perfect fit for couples who want to make a statement. But they also pride themselves on being adaptable.

“We can do romantic, delicate arrangements just as well as we can create extravagant floral sculptures,” Michelle explains. “But we always put our own twist on things. Our designs feel alive.”

For couples looking for something unique, House of Artz offers fully customized floral concepts. Their process begins with an in-depth consultation, where they discuss everything from a couple’s color palette to their personal stories and aesthetic preferences.

“We encourage our clients to share their dream vision, but we also push them to explore ideas they may not have considered,” Pascal says. “Sometimes, the best results come from a little creative risk.”

A Symphony of Flowers, Fabrics, and Fireworks

One thing that sets House of Artz apart is its integration of multiple design elements beyond just flowers. Pascal and Michelle often incorporate luxurious fabrics, dramatic lighting, and even fire installations into their setups.

“A wedding is a production,” Pascal says. “Flowers are just one piece of the puzzle. The magic happens when we blend florals with textiles, candles, custom furniture, and atmospheric lighting.”

For a lavish winter wedding at Kasteel Wittenburg, House of Artz worked with a team of ten designers to create an entire enchanted forest indoors. They used suspended floral arrangements, draping, and theatrical lighting to craft a surreal atmosphere that felt straight out of a fairy tale.

The Clients They Love (and Those They Don’t)

Like any artist, Pascal and Michelle have their favorite types of clients. Their dream couples? Those who trust them.

“The ideal client is one who gives us a broad vision, then lets us run with it,” Pascal says. “Some couples micromanage every petal, and that’s fine, but the best work happens when there’s trust.”

The least ideal? “Those who change their minds at the last minute. Or the ones who come in with a Pinterest board and expect an exact copy,” Michelle adds. “We’re designers, not copy machines.”

Breaking the Rules (and Setting New Ones)

In a world where wedding trends come and go, House of Artz stays ahead by rejecting trends altogether.

“We don’t chase trends; we set them,” Pascal says confidently. “We love breaking traditional floral rules and doing things people haven’t seen before.”

This philosophy has led them to push creative boundaries, from designing floating floral tunnels to crafting gigantic botanical installations that defy gravity.

“We love the unexpected,” Michelle says. “If a client says, ‘That’s never been done before,’ we see it as a challenge.”

What’s Next for House of Artz?

With their reputation soaring, Pascal and Michelle have big plans for the future. They’re exploring destination weddings, with upcoming projects in Mexico and Marrakesh, and expanding their floral artistry into luxury brand collaborations.

“One day, we’d love to create our own floral-inspired furniture line,” Pascal teases. “Something that blends botanical beauty with functional art.”

For now, though, their focus remains on creating unforgettable floral experiences, pushing their creative limits, and continuing to make wedding dreams come true—one petal at a time.

“At the end of the day, flowers fade,” Pascal reflects. “But the feeling we create? That lasts forever.”

House of Artz isn’t just a floral studio—it’s a visionary design house. For couples looking to turn their wedding into a work of art, Pascal and Michelle are the creative masterminds who make the impossible bloom into reality.
